WHAT IS THE HONEYWELL XENON XP 1952G?
The Honeywell Xenon XP 1952g is a family of hand-held Bluetooth general performance cordless 1D/2D barcode scanners.
WHERE DOES THE XENON XP 1952G FIT?
The Xenon XP 1952g is the latest in a long line of Xenon scanners and replaces the Xenon 1902.
The XP in the name signifies Extreme Performance.
There are two closely related product families.
The Xenon XP 1952-bf uses a "greener" Super Capacitor Power Pack rather than a conventional Lithium-ion Battery.
The Xenon XP 1952h family comes with special features for the Healthcare sector.

WHERE IS THE XENON XP 1952G USED?
The Xenon XP 1952g is aimed at demanding general purpose applications which involve poor quality or damaged barcodes.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE XENON XP 1952G?
BLUETOOTH WIRELESS
The Xenon XP 1952g uses Bluetooth radio v4.2 which provides communication at up to 100m line of sight.
XENON XP 1952G OPTICS
The Xenon XP 1952g is an Area Imager with 1280 x 800 pixels.
There is a choice of three optical systems.
Standard Range reads 1D codes down to 3 mils in density and 2D codes to 7.5 or 10 mil depending on symbology at a normal reading range.
High Density also reads 3 mils 1D barcodes and improves reading of 2D barcodes to 5 mils but comes with a reduced reading range.
The Ultra High Density optics have a much reduced reading range but can read 2 mil Code39 and 4 mil QR codes.
TOUGHNESS
The Xenon XP 1952g is surprisingly robust for a general purpose scanner.
It has a Tumble Specification of 2,000 0.5m impacts.
It has been engineered to withstand fifty 1.8m drops to concrete.
Sealing to dust and water is IP52.
OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE
The scanner operates at 0 to 50ºC and the temperature range for the bases when charging is 5 to 40ºC.
WHAT EQUIPMENT IS INVOLVED?
The available equipment consists mainly of ready-made kits which can be used immediately.
In addition there are a small number of separately available scanners and charge and communication bases.These can be used in conjunction with cables and accessories to construct configurations which extend the range of applications.

READY-MADE XENON XP 1952G SCANNER KITS
Seven self standing factory made scanner kits are available.
Five of these are black kits with presentation bases.
One of these is High Density and another is Ultra High Density.
Additionaly one is Disinfectant Ready and one has a Vibrating Handle for use in very quiet or very noisy situations.
There is also a Black kit with a Desktop/Wallmount Base and a Lyric White kit with a Presentation base.

BLUETOOTH WIRELESS XENON XP 1952G SCANNERS
Two black 1952g scanners are available separately. One has Standard Range optics and the other High Density.

These scanners require some means of communication and charging.
COMMUNICATION
Communication can be established by
- Pairing with another Bluetooth Wireless device such as a tablet
- Pairing with a Bluetooth Wireless Charge and Communication Base
- Pairing with a Bluetooth Access Point
CHARGING
The scanners can be charged by placing the Scanner on a Xenon XP Charge and Communication Base connected to a host computer.
The Xenon XP 1952g is powered by a 2400 mAh battery which facilitates up to 72,000 scans per charge. The expected recharge time is 4.5 hours.
The battery is warranted for a year and typically requires replacing every year.

BLUETOOTH WIRELESS CHARGE AND COMMUNICATION BASES
There are four Xenon XP Bluetooth Wireless Charge and Communication Bases giving a choice of Presentation or Desktop/Wallmount Bases in Black or Lyric White.
All can only charge one scanner at a time.
The bases need a scanner cable for connection to the host computer and supply of power.
The simplest solution is to use a USB cable but other cables are available.

DELIVERY
Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
For consignments which are heavier than 20Kg we reserve the right to add a surcharge.
If your order includes products from more than one manufacturer we may need to ship items from more than one warehouse and in such circumstances there may be a carriage surcharge.
We will agree any carriage surcharge with you before accepting your order.
