The Datalogic Xenon XP 1952h is a family of hand-held Bluetooth cordless 1D/2D barcode scanners for Healthcare.

All Xenon XP 1952h scanners come Disinfectant Ready to help in infection control and have quiet vibrating handles to minimise the disturbance to patients.
BATTERY OR BATTERY-FREE
The Xenon XP 1952h is available as battery-free models which are powered by a Super Capacitor or battery models which use a Lithium-ion battery.
The Super Capacitor differs from the conventional approach in that the life time of the power pack is expected to be more than five times longer than a Lithium-ion battery. It is cheaper and lighter and the eventual recycling costs are expected to be lower.
The choice between these depends on the application.
Battery-Free is suitable for reading smallish numbers of barcodes but enjoys very rapid recharging.
Battery-Free models can read up to 450 scans per charge.
Using a simple USB connection the time to fully recharge is about 2 minutes.
If a 5V Power Supply is connected to the Auxiliary Power Socket on the base the recharge time reduces to about 30 Seconds.
Battery models read up to 70,000 scans per charge but need about 4.5 hours to fully recharge.
Battery-Free is seen as having increasing relevance to Healthcare.
BLUETOOTH WIRELESS
The Xenon XP 1952h uses Bluetooth radio v4.2 which provides communication at up to 10m line of sight.

READY MADE XENON XP 1952H SCANNER KITS
The Xenon XP 1952h offers ready made USB kits which are available for immediate use.
These kits contain a Scanner, a Charge and Communication Base and a USB Cable.
These kits can be subsequently modified to some extent by purchasing separately available Bases, Cables and Power Supplies.
Five self standing factory made scanner kits are available.
All come Disinfectant Ready and have Vibrating Handles to signal good reads.
Most of the kits come with High Density Optics which is the usual requirement for Healthcare applications.
There is a choice of Presentation or Desktop/Wallmount Bases.
Finally there is a choice of Battery-Free or Lithium-ion Battery models.
