GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Zebra GX420d is a 6ips Direct Thermal (DT) label printer with 203dpi resolution.
The printer has an easy to use single button user interface with coloured LED status lights.
The GX420d measures 152mm (6") x 171mm (6.75") x 210mm (8.25") (HxWxD).
The printer weighs 1.4kg (3lbs).
MEDIA HANDLING
The standard model offers "tear-off" mode where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
Other factory installed options include:
Label peel-off (no liner rewind).
Cutter facilities (liner or tag).
LABEL MEDIA
The GX420d can handle rolls of label stationery up to 127mm (5") outer diameter on 25mm (1") cores.
Alternatively fan-folded label media can be fed into the printer via a slot in the rear.
The media width can be from 25.4mm (1") to 108mm (4.24"). The maximum printable width is 104mm (4.09").
The minimum label length is:
- 9.6mm (0.38") for tear off.
- 12.7mm (0.5") for peel.
- 25.4mm (1") when used with cutter.
The maximum label length is 99mm (39").
The label media types can be continuous, die-cut, notched or black marked.
The GX420d has factory fitted options which offer a choice of fixed position label gap and black line sensors or moveable label gap and black line sensors.
COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS
The GX420d has USB, auto-sensing Serial (which allows straight or crossed cabling) and one of the following factory fitted options:
- Parallel connectivity .
- Internal ZebraNet 10/100 Ethernet Print Server.
- Internal ZebraNet Wireless 802.11 b/g. Models with this option have a small LCD screen.
- Bluetooth Radio. Models with this option have a small LCD screen.
MEMORY AND REAL TIME CLOCK
Two factory fitted memory options are available for the GX420d:
- 4MB of flash memory and 8MB of SDRAM memory.
- 64MB of flash memory, 8MB of SDRAM memory and a Real Time Clock.
