EZPL FIRMWARE
All ZD621d printers have EPLZ firmware so that they support both EPL and ZPL applications.
COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS
The ZD621d comes as standard with USB2.0, USB Host, Serial and Ethernet.
Some models also have Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1. All ZD621d printers can be upgraded in the field to include this option.
MEDIA HANDLING
The basic models of the ZD621d have Tear-Off media handling.
Some models have a peel dispenser or a cutter and these options are also available as field installable upgrades.
Rolls of label media can be on 0.5" or 1" cores or fan-folded.
LINERLESS MEDIA OPTIONS
Some models of the ZD621d are designed for use with linerless media.
BATTERY OPTION FOR PORTABLE PRINTING
The ZD621d can be transformed into a portable printer by adding a battery power base.
HEALTHCARE MODELS
Healthcare models have disinfectant ready plastics, UV resistant housing, a colour touch LCD screen and a medical grade power supply which is IEC 60601-1 compliant.

WHAT LABEL STATIONERY CAN THE ZD621D USE?
The label stationery used by the ZD621d is usually housed internally in roll form. Alternatively fanfold stationery can be fed in through a slot in the rear of the printer.
The printer works with rolls of label stationery wound on 12.7mm or 25.4mm standard cores.
Adapters are available so that 38.1mm, 50.9mm or 76.2mm can be used.
The maximum outside diameter of the rolls is 127mm.
The ZD621d works with heat sensitive Direct Thermal (DT) label stationery only.
The ZD621d has adjustable label sensors which means that the label media can be:
- Self-adhesive die-cut labels with gaps
- Self-adhesive butt-cut labels without gaps and with under-printed black marks
- Non-adhesive tags under-printed with black marks
- Non-adhesive tags punched with holes or slots
- Wristbands
- Continuous stationery, for example receipt paper
- Linerless media (special printer models only)
WHAT LABEL PRINTING SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE ZD621D?
Most label printers are used in conjunction with Label Printing Software packages.
An example of labelling software is ZebraDesigner Essentials which is available free from Zebra.
WHAT CAN THE ZD621D PRINT ON THE LABELS?
The ZD621d prints monochrome text, barcodes and graphics.
The legibility of small print depends on the printhead resolution, 300dpi being the best option.
The ZD621d comes with a range of resident fonts and a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes.
WHAT MEDIA HANDLING OPTIONS DOES THE ZD621D HAVE?
TEAR OFF
The standard ZD621d printer configurations come with no special media handling and the printed label media is torn off by pulling against the tear bar.
A special tear off option is available for use with linerless media.
PEEL OFF
This mode requires the Label Dispenser accessory.
As each label is printed it is peeled ready for its removal by the user.
CUT OFF
A cutter accessory is available which fits onto the front of the printer.
The printed label media passes through this unit and is cut across into individual pieces.
The label stationery will normally be non-adhesive label tags, receipt paper or self-adhesive labels with gaps.
A special cutter option is available for use with linerless media.

WHAT ADVANCED FEATURES DOES THE ZD621D HAVE?
ZEBRA PRINT TOUCH
The Zebra Print Touch features can be used with an Android-based, Near Field Communications-enabled device such as a smart phone or tablet.
Pairing the device to the printer is carried out by touching the printer's Print Touch logo with the device.
The device can then be used to collect information via prompts for use in a printed label.
BLUETOOTH LOW ENERGY
The printer's Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) feature can be used for short range communications with mobile devices.
It works with Zebra mobile setup utility applications to assist in printer setup, to perform media calibration and to maximise print quality.

The Battery Pack provides mobile power for the ZD621d printer.
Typical applications include placing the printer on a cart and working in a location where it is not possible to connect to mains power.
The battery pack consists of a Base Housing for the battery which attaches to the under surface of the printer and a rechargeable battery which slots into the Base Housing.

Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
For consignments which are heavier than 20Kg we reserve the right to add a surcharge.
