WHAT IS THE DATALOGIC QUICKSCAN I QBT2500?
The Datalogic QuickScan I QBT2500 is a family of powerful low cost 1D/2D Bluetooth scanner kits which can be used in a variety of ways.
All of the kits contain a cordless Bluetooth QBT2500 scanner.
Some of the kits come with a Bluetooth Charge and Communication Base.
One of the kits has a Scanner but no Base and comes with a special Charger Cable.
WHERE DOES THE QUICKSCAN I QBT2500 FIT?
The QuickScan I QBT2500 is the latest in a long line of QuickScan cordless scanners.
Other members of the QuickScan 2500 family are the QD2500 Corded Scanner and the cheaper QW2500 Corded Scanner.
The QuickScan I QBT2500 will be followed by the QM2500 Star Cordless System version.

The QuickScan I QBT2500 uses Bluetooth Radio for communication.
The QuickScan I QBT2500 scanner can be paired with a the BC2090-BK Bluetooth QuickScan charge and communication base, or another Bluetooth device such as a tablet.
QUICKSCAN 2500 OPTICS
The QuickScan I QBT2500 has special Optics which uses eyesight friendly soft red illumination and a blue light precision aiming system.
On a successful read a green spot is projected on the barcode.
MOTIONIX
The QuickScan I QBT2500 uses Datalogic Motionix Technology to make life easier.
Motionix automatically detects when the scanner is held in the hand and requires the trigger to be pressed to read a barcode.
When the scanner is placed on a stand it switches to presentation mode and automatically reads barcodes which are shown to scanner.
WIDE RANGE OF 1D/2D BARCODE TYPES

SCANNER KITS AND SCANNERS
Three Scanner models are available:
QUICKSCAN QBT2500-BK-K1
This model consists of a black QBT2500 Bluetooth hand-held cordless scanner, a black BC2090-BK Bluetooth Base with a cable interface and a USB-A (Type A) Cable which connects to the host computer.
This model is suited to applications where a USB host computer is involved and the scanner can be recharged overnight by placing it on the QuickScan Charge and Communication Base connected to the Host Computer.
Once charged the scanner can read 115,000 barcodes before needing charging.
QUICKSCAN QBT2500-BK
This kit consists of a QBT2500 Bluetooth hand-held cordless scanner and a black BC2090-BK Charge and Communication Base but no cable.
This model needs a KBW, RS232, USB Type A or USB Type C Scanner Cable.
The choice of cable will depend on the connectivity of the Host Computer and the desired battery charging speed.
The charge times are:
- Standard USB-A cable 8 hours
- RS232 or USB cables with 12V External Power 4 hours
- USB-C Cable 4 hours
Once charged the scanner can read 115,000 barcodes before needing charging.
QUICKSCAN QBT2500-BK-K1+
This model is the lowest cost option and is different in that it does not come with a QBT2500 Charge and Communication Base but instead is supplied with a USB-A to USB-C Charge and Communication Cable.
The scanner battery is charged by connecting the USB-A to USB-C Charge and Communication Cable into the USB-C port at the heel of the scanner and a powered USB-A port.
Typical use of this scanner involves pairing with a Bluetooth device such as a Tablet.
At the end of the session the Scanner is recharged by connecting the Charge and Communication Cable.
If you require faster charging the cable can be connected to a mains power socket using a USB power supply adapter.
Once charged the scanner can read 115,000 barcodes before needing charging.

BC2090-BK QBT2500 BLUETOOTH CHARGE AND COMMUNICATION BASE
This base can communicate with the QBT2500 scanner using Bluetooth wireless. Each base can only support Bluetooth communication with one scanner.
The base has a cable interface which accepts KBW, RS232 and USB Type A and Type C Cables. These cables provide communication with a host computer and transport power to the base.
The base only has an RJ-45 cable socket and does not have a separate power socket.

The QuickScan I QBT2500 Scanner Battery can be recharged buy supplying 5V to the USB-C Port in the heel of the scanner.
The times to recharge the scanner directly are:
- 5.5 Hours using the USB-A to USB-C charger cable connected to a PC USB Port
- 3 Hours using the charger cable connected to a USB Wall Adapter
- 3 Hours using a USB-C to USB-C cable connected to a USB-C Port on the Host Computer
HAND HELD SCANNER ON BASE
The Scanner Battery can also be recharged by placing the Scanner in a QuickScan I QBT2500 Base which is powered by 4.5 to 14VDC on the communication cable which connects to the Host computer.
The times to recharge the Scanner on the Base are:
- 8 Hours using a standard USB-A communication cable
- 4 Hours using a RS232 or USB communication cable with a Power Socket and an External 12V Power Supply
- 4 Hours using a USB-C communication cable connected to a USB-C Host Port on the Host Computer

SPECIAL SCANNER CHARGING CABLE
This cable can be used to charge a Scanner Battery without having a BC2090-BK base.
The cable has a USB-C connector which plugs into the USB-C port which is found at the heel of the Scanner.
The other end has a USB Type A connector which is plugged into a powered USB port.
With this cable the time taken to charge the scanner battery is 5.5 hours.
This time can be reduced by plugging the USB Type A connector into a USB Wall Adapter which is plugged into the mains.

DELIVERY
Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
For consignments which are heavier than 20Kg we reserve the right to add a surcharge.
If your order includes products from more than one manufacturer we may need to ship items from more than one warehouse and in such circumstances there may be a carriage surcharge.
We will agree any carriage surcharge with you before accepting your order.
