The Datalogic QuickScan Lite QW2500 is a family of affordable hand-held corded 1D/2D barcode scanners.
WHERE IS THE QUICKSCAN LITE QW2500 USED?
The QuickScan Lite QW2500 is aimed at General Purpose applications in the Retail, Commerce, Hospitality and Light Manufacturing sectors.
WHERE DOES THE QUICKSCAN LITE QW2500 FIT?
The QuickScan Lite QW2500 is part of the QuickScan 2500 family of corded scanners and brings even better value at the expense of less facilities and slightly reduced performance.
If more performance is required then the QD2500 should be looked at and if even more performance is required then the Gryphon 4500 should be considered.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE QUICKSCAN LITE QW2500?
ANOTHER STEP FORWARD
The QuickScan Lite QW2500 brings improved affordability. This represents another step forward for scanners in this class.
In addition to all of the usual 1D and 2D barcodes the QuickScan Lite QW2500 adds Dot Code and Digimarc Watermarks.
In line with modern trends USB Type C connection has been added.
The QuickScan Lite QW2500 can be used with both USB Type A and USB Type C cables.
A number of USB Type C cables have been introduced along with a Type A to Type C converter cable.
TOUGHNESS
The QuickScan Lite QW2500 is pretty tough for an affordable scanner. It can be dropped from a height of 1.5m to concrete.
It operates at 0 to 50ºC.
It is sealed to IP52 which means it has some protection to dust and that it can withstand sprays of water at 15º from the vertical.
QUICKSCAN LITE 2500 OPTICS
The QuickScan Lite QW2500 scanner has an advanced VGA 640x480 pixels sensor with soft red 617nm illumination and a 470nm blue aiming system. The aiming system features a blue dot which is placed on the barcode.
On a successful read a green spot is projected on the barcode.
MOTIONIX TECHNOLOGY
The QuickScan Lite QW2500 uses Datalogic Motionix Technology to make life easier.
Motionix automatically detects when the Scanner is held in the hand and switches to hand-held mode.
When the scanner is stationary on a stand it switches to presentation mode.
