LINERLESS LABELS
Two 203dpi ZD611d models come factory fitted with Linerless Cutters.

WHAT LABELS AND RIBBONS CAN THE ZD611D USE?
LABEL MEDIA
Standard Media printers and Linerless Media printers require different label media.
STANDARD LABEL MEDIA
The ZD611d can only print on heat sensitive DT label media.
The ZD611d has adjustable label sensors which means that the label media can be:
- Self-adhesive die-cut labels with gaps
- Self-adhesive butt-cut labels without gaps and with under-printed black marks
- Non-adhesive tags under-printed with black marks
- Non-adhesive tags punched with holes or slots
- Continuous stationery, for example receipt paper
- Wristbands
The printer works with rolls of label stationery wound on 12.7mm or 25.4mm standard cores.
Adapters are available so that 38.1mm, 50.9mm or 76.2mm cores can be used.
The maximum outside diameter of the rolls is 127mm.
Alternatively fanfold stationery can be fed in through a slot in the rear of the printer.
The label media width can be from 15mm to 60mm.
The maximum printable width depends on the resolution

The maximum label length is 990mm.
The minimum label length depends on the type of media handling

LINERLESS LABEL MEDIA
The ZD611d models factory fitted with Linerless Cutters need Linerless Label Media. The media consists of a continuous strip of heat sensitive DT self adhesive material outside wound on a core without a liner. The label is printed, the label material is then cut and the printed label is presented to the user.
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The ZD611d does not use ribbons.
WHAT LABEL PRINTING SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE ZD611D?
Most label printers are used in conjunction with Label Printing Software packages.
An example of labelling software is the Zebra Designer Essentials which is available free from Zebra.
WHAT CAN THE ZD611D PRINT ON THE LABELS?
The ZD611d prints monochrome text, barcodes and graphics.
The legibility of small print depends on the printhead resolution, 300dpi being the best option.
The ZD611d comes with a range of resident fonts and a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes.
WHAT MEDIA HANDLING OPTIONS DOES THE ZD611D HAVE?
TEAR OFF
The standard ZD611d printer configurations come with no special media handling and the printed label media is torn off by pulling against the tear bar.
PEEL OFF
This mode requires the Label Peeler add-on.
As each label is printed it is peeled ready for its removal by the user.
CUT OFF
A cutter add-on is available which fits onto the front of the printer.
The printed label media passes through this unit and is cut across into individual pieces.
The label stationery will normally be non-adhesive label tags, receipt paper or self-adhesive labels with gaps.
WHAT ADVANCED FEATURES DOES THE ZD611D HAVE?
ZEBRA PRINT TOUCH
The Zebra Print Touch features can be used with an Android-based, Near Field Communications-enabled device such as a smart phone or tablet.
Pairing the device to the printer is carried out by touching the printer's Print Touch logo with the device.
The device can then be used to collect information via prompts for use in a printed label.
BLUETOOTH LOW ENERGY
The printer's Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) feature can be used for short range communications with mobile devices.
It works with Zebra mobile setup utility applications to assist in printer setup, to perform media calibration and to maximise print quality.
