GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Zebra TLP 2824 Plus is a 4ips Direct Thermal (DT) and Thermal Transfer (TT) label printer with 203dpi resolution.
The printer has an easy to use single button user interface with coloured LED status lights.
The TLP 2824 Plus printer runs under ZPL or EPL.
The TLP 2824 Plus measures 178mm (7") x 135mm (5.3") x 241mm (9.5") (H X W D). The printer weighs 1.6kg (3.5lbs).
MEDIA HANDLING
The standard model offers "tear-off" mode where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
Other factory installed options include:
Label peel-off (no liner rewind).
Cutter facilities (liner or tag).
LABEL MEDIA
The TLP 2824 Plus can handle rolls of label stationery up to 127mm (5") outer diameter on 25mm (1") or 38mm (1.5") cores.
Alternatively fan-folded label media can be fed into the printer via a slot in the rear.
The media width can be from 25.4mm (1") to 60mm (2.36"). The maximum printable width is 56mm (2.2").
The minimum label length is:
- 9.7mm (0.38") for tear off.
- 12.7mm (0.50") for peel.
- 25.4mm (1") when used with the cutter.
The maximum label length is 991mm (39").
The label media types can be continuous, die-cut, notched or black marked.
The TLP 2824 Plus has fixed position gap and black line sensors.
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The TLP 2824 Plus is a thermal transfer printer which can printer on thermal transfer label media with the aid of a thermal transfer ribbon.
These ribbons are centred and outside wound on 57mm (2.24") wide notched cardboard cores with an outer diameter of 12.7mm (0.5").
The maximum roll diameter is 35mm (1.36") which equates to a ribbon length of 74M (244').
The ribbon width can be from 33.8mm (1.33") to 57mm (2.24").
COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS
The TLP 2824 Plus offers a choice of:
- USB and Serial.
- Parallel (Centronics).
- Internal ZebraNet 10/100 Print Server and USB.
MEMORY AND REAL TIME CLOCK
Two factory fitted memory options are available for the TLP 2824 Plus:
- 4MB of flash memory and 8MB of SDRAM memory.
- 64MB of flash memory, 8MB of SDRAM memory and a Real Time Clock.

Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
