GENERAL INFORMATION
The Zebra DS3678-HP is an ultra-rugged industrial Bluetooth wireless gun shaped hand-held imager 1D and 2D barcode scanner with high performance optics and a removable battery.
This product is aimed at manufacturing processes which require the barcode scanner to be extremely tough.
The scanner comes with a range of supporting equipment.
There is a choice of two Bluetooth Charger cradles and a 4-slot Multi-Bay Battery Charger.
The scanner can be used directly with other Bluetooth equipment or in conjunction with a Bluetooth Charger Cradle which works with a range of USB, Keyboard Wedge, RS232 or IBM 46xx cables.
Some DS3678-HP models are available as Scanner Kits which include Bluetooth Charger Cradles, Power Supplies and Cables.
Other configurations can be built from Scanners, Cradles, Battery Chargers, Cables, Power Supplies and Power Cords.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 185mm (7.3") x 77mm (3.0") x 142mm (5.6") (HxWxD).
The weight of the scanner is 0.411Kg (0.906lbs).
The cradle dimensions are 99.8 x 229.4 x 82.6mm (3.93 x 9.03 x 3.25").
The weight of the STB3678 Standard Cradle is 0.340Kg (0.75lbs) and the FLB3678 IP65 Cradle is 0.390Kg (0.856lbs).
When the FLB3678 is fitted with a vibration dampening truck mounting plate the dimensions are 109.4 x 276.9 x107.0mm (4.3 x 10.9 x 4.21") and the weight increases by 0.240Kg (0.531lbs).
ENVIRONMENTAL
The scanners can withstand multiple drops from 2.4m (8') to concrete at room temperature.
The scanners are environmentally rated at both IP65 and IP67. This means that they are totally protected against dust, can withstand low pressure jets of water and can be immersed in water at a depth of up to 1m for 30 minutes.
The operating temperature is -20º to 50ºC but this reduces when charging to 0º to 40ºC.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The DS3678-HP scanner is powered by a 3100 mAh removable rechargeable battery which provides sufficient power for up to 100,000 reads.
The scanner can be charged using a Bluetooth Charger Cradle. This requires an input voltage of 5VDC ± 10% when powered by the host or 12VDC ± 5% when powered by an external power supply.
A complete charge of a fully discharged battery takes up to 3 hours using external power and up to 10 hours using USB power over a USB cable.
The removable battery can be charged by the Multi-Bay Battery Charger which requires an external power supply. A fully discharged battery requires up to 5 hours to re-charge.
