WHAT IS THE TX SERIES?
The TX Series is a family of "four inch" wide Thermal Transfer Desktop printers which includes the TX210, TX310 and the TX610 models.
These models print at 203dpi, 300dpi and 600dpi with speeds of 8ips, 6ips and 4ips.
WHERE IS THE TX SERIES USED?
The TX Series printers are suitable for a wide range of labelling applications including product identification, point of sale, office and shipping.
The 600dpi printer is very good at printing tiny characters, detailed graphics and dense barcodes.
WHERE DOES THE TX SERIES FIT?
The TX Series is a family of printers which includes the TX210, TX310 and TX610.
The TX Series replaces the TX200,TX300 and TX600 printers.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE TX SERIES?
PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE SUPPORT
The printers run under TPSL-EZ which emulates Zebra ZPL, Zebra EPL and Datamax DPL.

All TX Series printers come with USB 2.0, RS232, USB Host and Ethernet.
They also have a slot ready for installation of a WiFi or WiFi + Bluetooth module.

The TX Series printers come with 128MB SDRAM and 128MB Flash memory.
All models have a microSD card reader which can be used to extend flash memory by 32MB.
WHAT LABELS AND RIBBONS CAN THE TX SERIES PRINTERS USE?
LABEL MEDIA
TX Series Printers are Thermal Transfer and print on Thermal Transfer (TT) label stationery with the aid of a ribbon and also on Direct Thermal (DT) labels without the need for a ribbon.
The label stationery used by the TX Series is usually housed inside the printer in roll form.
The rolls of label stationery are outside wound on either 25.4mm or 38.1mm cores.
The maximum outside diameter of the rolls is 127mm.
Alternatively fanfold stationery or other labels can be fed in through the Media Chute which is a slot in the rear of the printer.
The label media width can be from 19mm to 112mm.
The maximum printable width is 108mm for the TX210, and 106mm for the TX310 and TX610.
The minimum and maximum label lengths are as shown in the following table.

The TX Series Printers have gap sensors and adjustable reflective sensors which means that the label media can be:
- Self-adhesive die-cut labels with gaps
- Self-adhesive butt-cut labels without gaps and with under-printed black marks
- Non-adhesive tags under-printed with black marks
- Non-adhesive tags punched with holes or slots
- Continuous stationery, for example receipt paper
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
TX Series Printers use 300m ink coated outside ribbons on 25.4mm cores. The maximum outside diameter is 67mm.
The ribbon width can be 40 - 110mm.
Ribbons are available with Wax, Wax/Resin and Resin formulations which are typically used for printing on Uncoated Paper, Coated Paper and Synthetic labels.
WHAT LABEL PRINTING SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE TX SERIES PRINTERS?
Most label printers are used in conjunction with Label Printing Software packages.
TSC printers ship with the Bartender Ultra Lite label printing software for Windows.
WHAT CAN THE TX SERIES PRINT ON LABELS?
The TX Series prints monochrome text, barcodes and graphics.
The legibility of small print depends on the printhead resolution, 600dpi being the best option.
The TX Series comes with a range of resident fonts and a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes.
WHAT MEDIA HANDLING OPTIONS DOES THE TX SERIES HAVE?
TEAR OFF
The standard TX Series printers come with no special media handling and the printed label media is torn off by pulling against the tear bar.
PEEL OFF
This mode requires the Label Dispenser accessory.
As each label is printed it is peeled ready for its removal by the user.
CUT OFF
A cutter accessory is available which fits onto the front of printer.
The printed label media passes through this unit and is cut across into individual pieces.
The label stationery will normally be non-adhesive label tags, receipt paper of self-adhesive labels with gaps.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY PERIOD FOR THE TX SERIES?
The TX Series printers are warranted for 2 years.
The Printhead is warranted for 25km or 12 months whichever comes first.
The Platen Roller is warranted for 50km or 12 months whichever comes first.

DELIVERY
Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
For consignments which are heavier than 20Kg we reserve the right to add a surcharge.
If your order includes products from more than one manufacturer we may need to ship items from more than one warehouse and in such circumstances there may be a carriage surcharge.
We will agree any carriage surcharge with you before accepting your order.
