Buyers Guide
GENERAL INFORMATION
The TSC TTP-384M is a solidly built heavy duty industrial label printer. It measures 336mm (13.23") x 440mm (17.32") x 504mm (19.84") (HxWxD) and weighs 23.2kg (51.15lbs).
The printer has an easy to use user interface based on a LCD touch screen and six buttons.
The TTP-384M comes with 32MB of SDRAM and 8MB Flash memory. The Flash can be expanded by inserting an SD Card with up to 4GB memory in the slot on the rear of the printer.
The printing resolution is 300dpi.
The TTP-384M prints at speeds of up to 46ips on thermal transfer label media using printer ribbons up to 600M long. It also prints on direct thermal labels without a ribbon.
The label media is on industry standard 3" cores.
The printer runs under TSC-EZ which is compatible with both Zebra ZPL and EPL.
The TTP-384M has wide connectivity. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are available as options and a GPIO interface option is available for label applicators.
The standard media handling is tear-off but a label peel mechanism or a cutter are available as options.
COMMUNICATIONS
The standard TTP-384M model has USB 2.0, Serial, Parallel, Ethernet and a Real Time Clock.
In addition to the above 802.11 b/n/g Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity can be added.
A GPIO Label Applicator interface is available.
MEDIA HANDLING
The standard model offers "tear-off" mode where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
Alternatively a label cutter is available.
OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES

LABEL MEDIA
The TTP-384M can handle rolls of outside wound label stationery up to 203.2mm (8") outer diameter on 76.2mm (3") cores.
Alternatively label media can be fed into the printer via a slot in the rear of the printer casing.
The media width can be from 101.6mm (4") to 241.3mm (9.5"). The maximum printable width is 219.5mm (8.64").
The maximum media width when using the cutter accessory is 215.9mm (8.5").
The maximum print length is 5080mm (200").
The TTP-384M has an adjustable label gap sensor and an adjustable black line sensor.
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The TTP-384M is a thermal transfer printer which can print on thermal transfer label media with the aid of a thermal transfer ribbon.
These ribbons are inside or outside wound on cores with an outer diameter of 25.4mm (1").
The maximum roll diameter is 90mm (3.54") which equates to a ribbon length of 600M (1968') for standard ribbons.
The ribbon width can be from 110mm (4.3") to 254mm (10").

TTP-384M printers work with thermal transfer (TT) or direct thermal (DT) media.
TT media needs a ribbon. DT does not.
