GENERAL INFORMATION
The TSC TDP-225 Series consists of the 203dpi TDP-255 and the 300dpi TDP-324. Both are a "2 inch" direct thermal printers which work with label stationery from 15 to 60mm (0.59 to 2.36") wide.
The 203dpi models have a maximum print speed of 127mm (5") per second and a maximum printable width of 54mm (2.13").
The 300dpi models have a maximum print speed of 102mm (4") per second and a maximum printable width of 48mm (1.89").
The printers have the following dimensions 109mm (4.29") x 171mm (6.73") x 209mm (8.23") (W x H x D) and weigh 1.2kg (2.65lbs).
PRINTER LANGUAGES
The printers run under TPSL-EZ which emulates Zebra ZPL and Zebra EPL and can also be programmed to create stand-alone applications.
FONTS AND BARCODES
The printers come with 8 alpha-numeric bitmap fonts and the CG Triumvirate Bold Condensed scaleable font.
The printers can print most 1D barcodes and Data Matrix, QR code, PDF417, Maxicode and Aztec 2D symbols.
INTERFACE OPTIONS
All models printers come with USB and a microSD card slot.
Some come with a Serial Port.
Alternatively other models come with a LCD display and Ethernet, and in addition some of these come with USB Host.
Where not fitted Ethernet LAN is available as a pre-delivery option which removes the Serial Port .
802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi or Bluetooth modules are user installable accessories which plug directly in to the Serial port.
MEDIA HANDLING
The printer offers tear-off where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
A Peeler or full cut Cutter are available as a pre-delivery options.
The label media can be fed through a rear in the rear of the printer or internally housed as outside wound rolls up to 127mm (5") diameter on 25.4mm (1") or 38mm (1.5") cores.
LABEL SENSORS
The printers have a transmissive gap sensor which works with die-cut label stationery, and labels and tags punched with suitable holes.
The printers also have an adjustable reflective sensor for label stationery with black registration marks printed on the under surface.
MEMORY
The printers come with 4MB Flash and 8MB DRAM memory.
The Flash memory can be expanded up to 4GB by inserting a microSD card in the slot.
LABEL MEDIA
The TSC TDP-324 is a direct thermal (DT) printer model which can only print on DT label media.
The label media must be outside wound and can be continuous, die-cut, black marked, fan-fold or notched. The media width can be from 15 to 60mm (0.6 to 2.4") wide.
The minimum label length is 15mm (0.59") for normal printing. This extends to a minimum of 25.4mm (1") when used with peel-off or cutter accessories.
When the internally housed label media is presented in rolls the outer diameter must not exceed 127mm (5") and the core size should be 25.4mm (1") or 38mm (1.5").
