GENERAL INFORMATION
The TSC ME240 is a mid-range heavy duty industrial label printer with a metal case. It measures 259mm (10.2") x 286mm (11.26") x 434mm (17.09") (HxWxD) and weighs 11kg (24.25lbs).
The printer runs under TSC-EZ which is compatible with both Zebra ZPL and EPL.
The printer has an easy to use user interface based on a LCD screen and six buttons.
The ME240 comes with 8MB of SDRAM and 4MB Flash memory. The Flash can be expanded by inserting an SD Card with up to 4GB memory in the slot on the rear of the printer.
The ME240 prints at speeds of up to 6ips on thermal transfer label media using printer ribbons up to 450M long. It also prints on direct thermal labels without a ribbon.
The label media is on industry standard 25mm (1") or 76mm (3") cores.
The standard model has USB and RS232 connectivity. The enhanced models add Ethernet and a USB Host port for stand-alone applications. Bluetooth and a Parallel port are available as options.
The standard media handling is tear-off but a label peel mechanism or a cutter are available as options.
COMMUNICATIONS
The standard ME240 model has USB 2.0, Serial and a Real time Clock.
The enhanced models also have Ethernet.
One model also has a USB host port for connecting a USB barcode reader or a USB keyboard as an input device for stand-alone printing applications.
If required Bluetooth connectivity and a Parallel port can be added.
MEDIA HANDLING
As standard model the ME240 offers "tear-off" mode where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
Label peel-off without liner rewind is available as an option.
Alternatively a label cutter is available.
OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES
Some options and accessories can installed by the user. Others can be installed pre-delivery or subsequently field installed by qualified personnel.

LABEL MEDIA
The ME240 can handle rolls of label stationery up to 203.2mm (8") outer diameter on 25.4mm (1") or 76.2mm (3") cores.
Alternatively fan-folded label media can be fed into the printer via a slot in the rear.
The media width can be from 25.4mm (1") to 118mm (4.6"). The maximum printable width is 104mm (4.09").
The minimum label length in tear off is 5mm (0.2") and the maximum print length is 2286mm (90").
When using the peeler or cutter options this minimum label length increases to 25.4mm (1").
The label media types can be continuous, die-cut, notched or black marked.
The ME240 has an adjustable label gap sensor and an adjustable black line sensor.
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The ME240 is a thermal transfer printer which can printer on thermal transfer label media with the aid of a thermal transfer ribbon.
These ribbons are outside wound on cores with an outer diameter of 25.4mm (1").
The maximum roll diameter is 81.3mm (3.2") which equates to a ribbon length of 450M (1476') for standard ribbons.
The ribbon width can be from 40mm (1.57") to 110mm (4.33").

LABELS
ME240 printers work with thermal transfer (TT) or direct thermal (DT) media.
TT media needs a ribbon. DT does not.

DELIVERY
Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
For consignments which are heavier than 20Kg we reserve the right to add a surcharge.
If your order includes products from more than one manufacturer we may need to ship items from more than one warehouse and in such circumstances there may be a carriage surcharge.
We will agree any carriage surcharge with you before accepting your order.
