WHAT IS THE DA SERIES?
The DA Series is a family of "four inch" wide Direct Thermal Desktop printers which includes the DA210, DA220, DA310 and the DA320 models.
The DA210 and DA220 are 203dpi and print at 6ips. The DA310 and DA320 print at 4ips and come with 300dpi resolution.
The DA210 and DA310 are entry level USB printers one of which also has Bluetooth.
The DA220 and DA320 come with USB and a range of more advanced communication options.

AFFORDABILITY
The DA Series offers well designed four inch wide printers at a good price for a range of medium volume applications where resolutions of 203dpi and 300dpi and speeds of 6ips and 4ips are adequate.
PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE SUPPORT
The printers run under TPSL-EZ which emulates Zebra ZPL, Zebra EPL and Datamax DPL.
TPSL-EZ can also be used to create stand-alone applications.
COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS
The DA Series come as standard with USB.
Some models in the DA Series offer other options including RS232, Ethernet, USB Host, Wi-Fi or MFI Bluetooth.
WORKS WITH A WIDE RANGE OF DIRECT THERMAL LABELS
Labels can be outside wound on 25.4mm or 38mm cores in rolls with up 127mm outer diameter.
WHAT PRINT RESOLUTIONS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE DA SERIES?
The DA Series is available in 203dpi and 300dpi versions.
The maximum print speed is 6ips at 203dpi and 4ips at 300dpi.

All DA Series printers come with USB.

HOW MUCH MEMORY IS AVAILABLE FOR THE DA SERIES?
The DA210 and DA310 printers come with 8MB Flash Memory.
The DA220 and DA320 printers have 128MB Flash Memory.
WHAT LABELS AND RIBBONS CAN THE DA SERIES PRINTERS USE?
LABEL MEDIA
DA Series Series Printers are Direct Thermal and only work with heat sensitive DT label stationery.
The label stationery used by the DA Series is usually housed inside the printer in roll form.
The rolls of label stationery are outside wound on either 25.4mm or 38.1mm cores.
The maximum outside diameter of the rolls is 127mm.
Alternatively fanfold stationery or other labels can be fed in through a slot in the rear of the printer.
The label media width can be from 19mm to 114mm.
The maximum printable width is 108mm for the DA210 and DA220, and 105.7mm for the DA310 and DA320.
The minimum and maximum label lengths are as shown in the following table.

The DA Series Printers have gap sensors and adjustable reflective sensors which means that the label media can be:
- Self-adhesive die-cut labels with gaps
- Self-adhesive butt-cut labels without gaps and with under-printed black marks
- Non-adhesive tags under-printed with black marks
- Non-adhesive tags punched with holes or slots
- Continuous stationery, for example receipt paper
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
DA Series Printers do not use ribbons.
WHAT LABEL PRINTING SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE DA SERIES PRINTERS?
Most label printers are used in conjunction with Label Printing Software packages.
TSC printers ship with the Bartender Ultra Lite label printing software for Windows.
WHAT CAN THE DA SERIES PRINT ON LABELS?
The DA Series prints monochrome text, barcodes and graphics.
The legibility of small print depends on the printhead resolution.
The DA Series comes with a range of resident fonts and a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes.
WHAT MEDIA HANDLING OPTIONS DOES THE DA SERIES HAVE?
TEAR OFF
The standard DA Series printers come with no special media handling and the printed label media is torn off by pulling against the tear bar.
PEEL OFF
This mode requires the Label Dispenser accessory.
As each label is printed it is peeled ready for its removal by the user.
CUT OFF
A cutter accessory is available which fits onto the front of printer.
The printed label media passes through this unit and is cut across into individual pieces.
The label stationery will normally be non-adhesive label tags, receipt paper of self-adhesive labels with gaps.
WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT OF THE DA SERIES PRINTERS?
The dimensions of the DA Series are 172mm x 165mm x 195mm (W x H x D).
The weight is 1.5Kg.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY PERIOD FOR THE DA SERIES?
The DA Series printers are warranted for 2 years.
The print head is warranted for 25km or 12 months whichever comes first.
The platen is warranted for 50km or 12 months whichever comes first.
