AFFORDABILITY
The WS2 is a well designed "2 inch" inch printer offered at a good price for a wide range of low volume applications where resolutions of 203dpi and 305dpi and speeds of up to 7ips and 5ips are adequate.
PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE SUPPORT
The WS2 works automatically with three major printer languages giving it wide use with many existing systems.
COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS
The WS2 comes as standard with USB and Ethernet.
It also comes with USB Host which is used for firmware upgrades or to add memory to the printer.
GOOD MEDIA HANDLING
The basic models of the WS2 have Tear-Off media handling.
Some models have a Label Dispenser or a Cutter.
WORKS WITH A WIDE RANGE OF LABELS
Labels can be Face-In or Face-Out.
Labels can be on rolls with 12.7mm, 25.4mm or 40mm cores or fan-folded.
WHAT USER INTERFACE OPTIONS ARE THERE FOR THE WS2?
The WS2 has a simple User Interface with LED status indicators and a single button.
WHAT PRINT RESOLUTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THE WS2?
WS2 models are available with the choice of 203dpi or 305dpi.
The print speed depends on the models printer resolution and label handling mode.
The maximum speed is 7ips for 203dpi and 5ips for 305dpi.
For peel-off mode this reduces to 3ips.
WHAT CONNECTION OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE WS2?
The WS2 has USB and Ethernet as standard.
USB Host is available for firmware updates or to add up to 32GB extra storage.
WHAT LABEL STATIONERY CAN THE WS2 USE?
The label stationery used by the WS2 is usually housed inside the printer in roll form.
The rolls of label stationery are inside or outside wound on 12.7mm, 25.4mm or 38mm cores.
The maximum outside diameter of the rolls is 127mm for 25.4mm or 38mm cores, and 110mm for 12.7mm cores.
Alternatively fanfold stationery or other labels can be fed in through a slot in the rear of the printer.
The WS2 models only work with heat sensitive Direct Thermal label stationery.
The WS2 has a black mark sensor which is adjustable across the label width and a label gap sensor which is fixed near the centre of the label.
The label media can be:
- Self-adhesive die-cut labels with gaps
- Self-adhesive butt-cut labels without gaps and with under-printed black marks
- Non-adhesive tags under-printed with black marks
- Non-adhesive tags punched with holes or slots
- Wristbands
- Continuous stationery, for example receipt paper
WHAT LABEL PRINTING SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE WS2?
Most label printers are used in conjunction with Label Printing Software packages.
The WS2 is compatible with Bartender or NiceLabel.
WHAT CAN THE WS2 PRINT ON THE LABELS?
The WS2 prints monochrome text, barcodes and graphics.
The WS2 comes with a range of resident fonts and a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes.
WHAT LABELS AND RIBBONS CAN THE WS2 USE?
LABEL MEDIA
WS2 printers can print on DT label media only.
The printer works with rolls of label stationery wound on 12.7mm, 25.4mm or 38mm cores.
The maximum outside diameter of the rolls is 127mm for 25.4mm and 38mm cores or 115mm for 12.7mm cores.
Alternatively roll label stationery or fanfold stationery can be fed in through a slot in the rear of the printer.
The label media width can be from 12mm to 60mm.
The minimum and maximum label length depends on a number of factors as shown below.
- Maximum label length is 2540mm at 203dpi
- Maximum label length is 1270mm at 305dpi
- Minimum label length for Tear-Off Mode is 10mm
- Minimum label length for Cutter Mode is 25mm
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The WS2 does not use ribbons.

Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
For consignments which are heavier than 20Kg we reserve the right to add a surcharge.
