GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The SG20T family consists of three ranges of corded barcode scanners. These are:
- the SG20T1D range of 1D barcode scanners
- the SG20T2D range of 1D/2D barcode scanners with LED aimers
- the SG20THP range of 1D/2D barcode scanners with Laser aimers
In addition there are Healthcare models which are disinfectant ready.
The scanners come with a USB/Keyboard Wedge/RS232 cable interface for wired connection to other equipment.
Some scanners are supplied without cables, others come in kits with cables.
Cables are available for USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232.
A Power Supply and Mains Power Cords are available where power is required.
Other accessories include Adjustable Stands and Wall/Desk Mount Holders.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 200 x 61 x 65mm (7.9 x 2.4 x 2.3") LxWxH.
The weight of the corded SG20T scanner is 0.125Kg (0.275lbs), excluding the cable.
DROP RESISTANCE AND PROTECTION
The scanner can withstand 1.2m (4') drops to concrete.
The scanner is protected to IP30, which means that it is protected against objects which are greater than 2.5mm in size (tools/wires), but not against liquids.
CABLES AND INTERFACES
USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232 cables are available.
The SG20T scanners support USB Keyboard (HID), Serial USB (Virtual Comm), USB HID POS, USB IBM SurePOS, Keyboard Wedge and RS232.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The SG20T scanners need power at 5V DC.
The SG20T1D scanners require up to 120mA, the SG20THP/SG20THPHC scanners require up to 330MA and SG20T2D/SG20T2DHC scanners require up to 370mA.
This power can be provided directly via a USB connection.
When using a Keyboard Wedge connection power is generally taken from the keyboard. If insufficient power is available an external power supply will need to be connected to the external power jack on the cable.
When using an RS232 connection an external power supply will be required.
RESOLUTION AND READING RANGES
The smallest barwidth for the SG20T1D 1D scanners is 4mil (0.1mm).
For the SG20THP/SG20T2D 1D/2D scanners the smallest barwidth for 1D barcodes is 4mil (0.1mm) and for 2D codes the smallest cell size is 6mils (0.15mm).

These cables are used with the corded SG20T barcode scanners and also the SG20B Bluetooth base.
USB CABLES

This Cable is 1.8m (6') Long and is Terminated with a USB Type A Plug Connector.
Power for the SG20T Scanner is Obtained via the USB Cable from the USB Connection.
The USB Connection can also provide Power for the SG20B Bluetooth Base but, for Faster Scanner Charging, Power Should be supplied to the Base via a Power Supply and a Mains Power Cord.
