GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The SG20B family consists of three ranges of barcode scanners. These are:
- the SG20B1D range of 1D barcode scanners
- the SG20B2D range of 1D/2D barcode scanners with LED aimers
- the SG20BHP range of 1D/2D barcode scanners with Laser aimers
In addition there are Healthcare models which are disinfectant ready.
The SG20B scanners have a Bluetooth interface and communicate wirelessly with the SG20 Bluetooth Communication Base or other Bluetooth enabled equipment.
Some cordless scanners are supplied without Bluetooth Communication Bases, others are supplied complete with bases and power supplies.
The Bluetooth bases are supplied separately or as part of kits.
The Bluetooth Communication Base has a USB/Keyboard Wedge/RS232 cable interface for onwards wired connection to other equipment.
Cables are available for USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232.
A Power Supply and Mains Power Cords are available where power is required.
Other accessories include Holders, Charger Holders, a Stand and Wall or Desk Mount Holders.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 200 x 61 x 65mm (7.9 x 2.4 x 2.3") LxWxH.
The weight of the cordless SG20B scanner is 0.175Kg (0.385lbs).
DROP RESISTANCE AND PROTECTION
The scanner can withstand 1.2m (4') drops to concrete.
The scanner is protected to IP30, which means that it is protected against objects which are greater than 2.5mm in size (tools/wires), but not against liquids.
CABLES AND INTERFACES
USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232 cables are available for the wired connections from the SG20 Bluetooth Communication Base.
The SG20 Bluetooth Communication Base supports USB Keyboard (HID) and Serial USB (Virtual Comm), Keyboard Wedge and RS232.
WIRELESS WORKING RANGE
The cordless SG20B scanner comunicates using Bluetooth and has a working range of 10m (32.8').
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The scanners onboard battery is charged when the scanner is placed in a powered Bluetooth Communication Base or a Charge Base.
The SG20 Bluetooth Base and the Charge Base need power at 5V DC.
This power can be provided directly to the Bluetooth base via a USB connection but it is better to connect an external power supply with a mains power cord directly to the base.
A 70% charge will normally provide for about 8000 scans.
RESOLUTION AND READING RANGES
The smallest barwidth for the SG20B1D 1D scanners is 4mil (0.1mm).
For the SG20B1D 1D scanners the smallest barwidth for 1D barcodes is 4mil (0.1mm).
For the SG20BHP/SG20B2D 1D/2D scanners the smallest barwidth for 1D barcodes is 4mil (0.1mm) and for 2D codes the smallest cell size is 6mils (0.15mm).

These cables are used with the SG20B Bluetooth base and also the corded SG20T barcode scanners.

Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
