GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The SF61B family consists of four Bluetooth wireless barcode scanners which between them use three different scanner engines.
The members of the family are:
- SF61B1D - imager 1D barcode scanner
- SF61B2D - standard imager 1D/PDF/2D barcode scanner
- SF61B2D-H - healthcare imager 1D/PDF/2D barcode scanner
- SF61BHP - high performance imager 1D/PDF/2D barcode scanner
SF61B1D
This is the lowest cost model in the SF61B range.
The SR61B1D is a imager which can only read 1D barcodes (not stacked barcodes).
The maximum working range is about 87.5cm (34.5").
The minimum barwidth is 4mil (0.1mm, 0.004").
Typical reading ranges are:
5mil Code39 5 to 25.5cm (1.97 to 10.04")
10mil Code39 5 to 32.5cm (1.97 to 12.80")
13mil EAN13 5 to 33cm (1.97 to 12.99")
SF61B2D
The SR61B2D is an imager which can read 1D/PDF/2D barcodes.
It has an excellent working range and can read barcodes from reasonably close up to about 117 cm (46.06").
The minimum 1D barwidth is 4mil (0.1mm, 0.004").
The minimum 2D cell size is 6.6mil (0.17mm, 0.007").
Typical reading ranges are:
5mil Code39 4 to 24cm (1.57 to 9.45")

The SR61B2D-H Healthcare imager can read 1D/PDF/2D barcodes.
It has an excellent working range and can read barcodes from reasonably close up to about 117 cm (46.06").

The minimum 2D cell size is 6.6mil (0.17mm, 0.007").

SF61BHP
The SF61BHP is a high performance imager which can read 1D barcodes, stacked 2D barcodes and 2D barcodes.
The minimum 1D barwidth is 4mil (0.1mm, 0.004").
The minimum 2D cell size is 6.6mil (0.17mm, 0.007").
Typical reading ranges are:
5mil Code39 4 to 27cm (1.57 to 10.63")
13mil EAN13 5 to 47cm (1.97 to 18.5")
10mil PDF417 4 to 27cm (1.57 to 10.63")
10mil Data Matrix 6 to 22cm (2.36 to 8.66")
BLUETOOTH COMMUNICATION
The SF61B scanners communicate via Bluetooth wireless.
There are no combined communication and charger base stations in the SF61B product range.
It is expected that the SR61B scanners will be paired directly with other Bluetooth enabled equipment.
Where it is required to communicate with equipment which requires a wired connection Intermec offers the SD62. This unit communicates with up to seven Bluetooth scanners and provides onwards communication via a single USB, RS232 or Keyboard Wedge cable.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 107 x 68 x 168mm (4.2 x 2.7 x 6.6") LxWxH.
The weight of the Bluetooth wireless corded SR61B scanner is 0.404Kg (0.89lbs) including the battery.
DROP RESISTANCE AND PROTECTION
The scanner can withstand twenty six drops from 2m (6.5') to steel or concrete.
The standard scanner is protected to IP65, which means that it is totally protected against dust and low pressure jets of water.
The Healthcare scanner is protected to IP64 which means that it is totally protected against dust and water sprayed from all directions.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
All SF61B scanners are shipped with an installed battery.
This battery can be replaced by the user.
The scanner can be recharged by placing it in a single charger.
Versions are available which are powered by a USB cable, an automotive cigar lighter socket or a universal power base which needs a mains power cord.
Alternatively single and quad charger cradles are available which need a power supply and mains power cord.
Lastly a 2 bay FlexDock Kit is available giving the facility to charge up to 4 SF61B scanners. A power supply is included but a mains power cord is required.
