WHAT IS THE DATALOGIC POWERSCAN PD9531-AR?
The Datalogic PowerScan PD9531-AR is a rugged hand-held corded 1D/2D barcode scanner with fast automatic focussing from 15cm to more than 20m.
WHERE DOES THE POWERSCAN PD9531-AR FIT?
The PowerScan PD9531-AR replaces the PowerScan PD9330-AR and is part of the PowerScan 9501 family.
The other members of the family which use Auto Range are the Powerscan PBT9501-AR Bluetooth Wireless scanner and the PowerScan PM9501-AR which uses the STAR Cordless system.

WHERE IS THE POWERSCAN PD9531-AR USED?
All models of the PowerScan PD9531-AR are aimed at corded General Purpose applications where the requirement is to read barcodes at up to 20m.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE POWERSCAN PD9531-AR?
TOUGHNESS
The PowerScan PD9531-AR is tough enough for most applications.
It can be dropped from a height of 2m to concrete.
It works at temperatures down to -20ºC.
It is sealed to dust and can be used outdoors in light rain.
POWERSCAN 9501-AR OPTICS
The PowerScan PD9531-AR omnidirectional imager has an advanced sensor which can read 1D and 2D barcodes at distances from 15cm to over 20m.
Resolution starts at 3mils for 1D codes and 4mils for 2D codes. At long distances the barcodes need a resolution of about 100 mils.
At distances of up to 5m a square aiming pattern is projected onto the barcode.
At longer distances a laser aimer is used to identify the barcode to be read.
MOTIONIX TECHNOLOGY
The PowerScan PD9531-AR uses Datalogic Motionix Technology to make life easier.
Motionix automatically detects when the scanner is held in the hand and switches to hand-held mode.
When the scanner is placed on a stand it switches to presentation mode.
3GL
The PowerScan PD9531-AR uses Datalogic 3GL (3 Green Lights) Technology.
Good barcode reads are indicated by three green lights, a loud beeper and a green spot projected onto the barcode.
CHOICE OF 4.5V TO 30V POWER
This caters for a wide range of Power scenarios.
