GENERAL INFORMATION
The Datalogic PD7100 is a powerful industrial hand-held 1D barcode scanner.
The PD7100 comes with a choice of two cable interfaces.
The PD7130 models have the Industrial interface which works with Keybord Wedge, RS232, Wand Emulation and USB cables.
The PD7110 models have the IBM/POS interface which works with IBM 46xx, RS232 and USB cables.
A laser pointer beam is available for some PD7130 models.
The scanners come in yellow and black, and black.
Some PowerScan PD7100 models are available as Scanner Kits which include cables.
Other configurations can be built from Scanners, Cables and Power Supplies and Cords.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 203 x 76 x 114mm (8.0 x 3.0 x 4.5").
The weight is 0.280kg (0.62lb).
ENVIRONMENTAL
The scanner can withstand fifty 2m (6.6') drops to concrete.
The operating temperature for the scanner is -30º to 50ºC.
The scanner is protected to IP65 which means that it is completely sealed to dust and withstands low pressure water jets from all directions.
CABLES AND INTERFACES
The scanner has a choice of two cable interfaces - Industrial and IBM/POS.
Kits come with cables.
A range of USB, KBW, RS232, IBM466 and Wand Emulation is available.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The scanner requires 4 to 14 V.
The power requirement is 285MA at 5VDC.

Maximum resolution is 3mil.
5mil: 1.5 to 14.0cm (0.6 to 5.5").
7.5mil: 0 to 44.0cm (0 to 17.3").
10mil: 0 to 60.0cm (0 to 23.6").

20mil: 0 to 119.0cm (0 to 46.9").

WARRANTY
The scanner comes with a 36 month factory warranty.
CABLES
The Datalogic PowerScan PD7100 barcode scanner requires a cable for connection to PCs or other equipment.
The cable must match the scanner cable interface.
The PD7130 has the Standard interface which caters for Keyboard Wedge, RS232, USB and Wand Emulation cables.
The PD7110 has IBM/POS interface and works with IBM 46xx, RS232 and USB cables.
The communication cable also carries power to the scanner.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge, Wand Emulation and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports cannot provide power and RS232 connections will generally need the assistance of an external power supply.
Where external power is required a cable with an external power socket must be used.
