GENERAL INFORMATION
The Datalogic Heron HD3100 is a hand-held corded 1D barcode scanner which measures 152mm (6") x 153mm (6.8") x 68mm (2.7") and weighs 150g (0.33lb).
The available colours are black or white where the topcap design is 'Carbon-Fiber' or 'Silver'.
An adjustable black or white stand comes with the hand scanner and provides automatic switching between hand-held and hands-free operation.
The scanner has the option of multi-coloured lighting on the sides and a range of tones.
This product is aimed at applications where the barcode scanner's attractive appearance is an advantage.
INTERFACES
The Heron HD3100 scanner has a multi-interface which includes USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232.
A full range of cables is available.
POWER REQUIREMENT
The input voltage is 5 VDC.
The scanner requires power of 500mA at 5VDC.
This power is carried to the scanner via the interface cable and can be provided by the connected equipment or, where necessary, from an external power supply connected to the cable.

For other scanner configurations a cable is required to provide communication and to carry power.
Most USB and Keyboard Wedge connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports generally cannot provide power and RS232 connections will usually need the assistance of an external power supply and a cable with a power socket.

Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
