The Honeywell Xenon 1900 is a very high performance hand-held area imager barcode scanner aimed at the office, retail, healthcare and light industrial sectors.
It combines the Adaptus 6.00 and SwiftDecoder technologies with a new scanner engine and enables extended depth of field, faster reading, extreme motion tolerance and superior scanning performance on poor quality barcodes. The Xenon 1900 can read all standard 1d barcodes, stacked and matrix codes.
It can handle poor quality barcodes such as those found on mobile phones and can read multiple barcodes in one operation.
The Xenon 1900 is available in three focal options, High Density, Standard Range and Extended Range.
The scanner comes in two colour schemes with a single cable interface which caters for both standard applications and IBM/POS.
A software plug-in is available to add OCR capabilities.
Special white models are disinfectant ready for healthcare applications.
Some Xenon 1900 models are available as Scanner Kits.

CABLES
The Honeywell Xenon 1900 barcode scanner requires a cable for connection to PCs or other equipment.
The Xenon 1900 has a single interface which caters for Keyboard Wedge, RS232, USB and IBM 46xx cables.
The communication cable also carries power to the scanner.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports cannot provide power and RS232 connections will generally need the assistance of an external power supply.
Where external power is required, a cable with an external power socket must be used together with an external 5V DC power supply.
