The Datalogic PowerScan PD7100 is a high performance hand-held linear imager barcode scanner aimed at industrial or POS applications.
The PD7100 has a full industrial specification. It is rated at IP65, operates at temperatures from -30° to 50°C, can withstand 2m drops, and works with power from 4 to 14V DC.
The PD7100 comes with a choice of two cable interfaces.
The PD7130 models have the Industrial interface which works with Keybord Wedge, RS232, Wand Emulation and USB cables.
The PD7110 models have the IBM/POS interface which works with IBM 46xx, RS232 and USB cables.
A laser pointer beam is available for some PD7130 models.
Some PowerScan PD7100 models are available as Scanner Kits.
Other configurations can be built from the Scanners, Cables, Power Supplies, Mains Power Cords and Accessories shown below.

CABLES
The Datalogic PowerScan PD7100 barcode scanner requires a cable for connection to PCs or other equipment.
The cable must match the scanner cable interface.
The PD7130 has the Standard interface which caters for Keyboard Wedge, RS232, USB and Wand Emulation cables.
The PD7110 has IBM/POS interface and works with IBM 46xx, RS232 and USB cables.
The communication cable also carries power to the scanner.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge, Wand Emulation and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports cannot provide power and RS232 connections will generally need the assistance of an external power supply.
Where external power is required a cable with an external power socket must be used.
