The Datalogic Heron is an affordable hand-held linear imager barcode scanner aimed at the office, retail and light industrial sectors.
The Heron is supplied with a stand which, when used, provides low cost presentation scanner facilities.
The Heron can read all standard 1d barcodes and the GS1 DataBar (linear and stacked).
The scanner comes in two colour schemes with a choice of two cable interfaces to suit standard applications or IBM/POS.
Some Heron models are available as Scanner Kitswhich include cables.
Other configurations can be built from the Scanners, Cables, Power Supplies, Mains Power Cords and Accessories shown below.

CABLES
The Datalogic Heron barcode scanner requires a cable for connection to PCs or other equipment.
The cable must match the scanner cable interface.
The D130 has the Standard interface which caters for Keyboard Wedge, RS232, USB and Wand Emulation cables.
The D110 has the IBM/RS232 interface which uses IBM 46xx or RS232 cables.
The communication cable also carries power to the scanner.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge, Wand Emulation and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports cannot provide power and RS232 connections will generally need the assistance of an external power supply.
Where external power is required a cable with an external power socket must be used.
