The Datalogic Gryphon I GBT4100 is a high performance Bluetooth wireless hand-held linear imager barcode scanner aimed at the office, retail and light industrial sectors. It is available in two colours.
The GBT4100 can read all standard 1d barcodes and both the linear and stacked versions of the GS1 DataBar.
The scanner operates at up 30m from the optional Bluetooth radio base station or other Bluetooth compliant equipment.
A stand alone charger is available for recharging the scanner if wireless communication is to be with other Bluetooth compliant equipment.
A Bluetooth radio base station with built-in charger is available and comes with a choice of two cable interfaces.
The standard cable interface works with Keyboard Wedge, RS232, Wand Emulation and USB cables.
The IBM/POS cable interface uses IBM 46xx, RS232 or USB cables.
Some Gryphon I GBT4100 models are available as Scanner Kits.
Other configurations can be built from the Scanners, Radio Base Stations with Charger, Chargers, Cables, Power Supplies, Mains Power Cords and Accessories shown below.

CABLES
The BC4000 radio base with charger needs a communications cable. The choice of cable will depend on the cable interface.
The BC4030 has the Standard interface which uses Keyboard Wedge, RS232, Wand Emulation and USB cables.
The BC4010 has the IBM/POS interface which uses IBM 46xx, RS232 and USB cables.
The BC4000 requires power to maintain the wireless link and to recharge the GBT4100 scanner when placed on the BC4000.
The optimum means of providing power is to connect a 12V DC power supply directly to the BC4000. This generally results in shorter recharge times and widens the choice of cable.
An alternative is to use the communications cable to carry the power from the connected equipment or to use a power supply in conjunction with the cable.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge, Wand Emulation and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly from the connected equipment.
RS232 connections generally require the assistance of an external power supply which plugs into a socket on the cable.
