GENERAL INFORMATION
The TSC TTP-245C is a desktop label printer in a strong plastic case. It measures 202mm (7.95") x 173mm (6.81") x 258mm (10.16") (HxWxD) and weighs 2.3kg (5lbs).
The printer runs under TSC-EZ which is compatible with both Zebra ZPL and EPL.
The printer has an easy to use single button user interface with coloured LED status lights.
The TTP-245C comes with 8MB of SDRAM and 4MB Flash memory. The Flash can be expanded by inserting an SD Card with up to 4GB memory in the slot on the rear of the printer.
The printing resolution is 203dpi but other models in the family come with 300dpi.
The TTP-245C prints at speeds of up to 6ips on thermal transfer label media using printer ribbons up to 110m long. It also prints on direct thermal labels without a ribbon.
The label media is in rolls of up to 127mm (5") in outer diameter on industry standard 25.4mm (1") cores.
The printer runs under TSC-EZ which is compatible with both Zebra ZPL and EPL.
The standard media handling is tear-off but a label peel mechanism and cutters are available as options.
COMMUNICATIONS
The TTP-245C has USB, Serial, Parallel and Ethernet 10/100 connectivity.
In addition 802.11 b/n/g Wi-Fi or a Bluetooth module can be added by the user using the serial port.
MEDIA HANDLING
The standard model offers "tear-off" mode where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
Label peel-off without liner rewind or label cutters are available as field installable options.

LABEL MEDIA
The TTP-245C can handle rolls of label stationery up to 127mm (5") outer diameter on 25mm (1") or 38mm (1.5") cores.
Alternatively fan-folded label media can be fed into the printer via a slot in the rear.
The rear path can be used with the external roll mount accessory which handles rolls of labels up to 203mm (8") outer diameter on 76mm (3") cores.
The media width can be from 20mm (0.79") to 112mm (4.4"). The maximum printable width is 106mm (4.17").
The label media types can be continuous, die-cut, notched or black marked.
The TTP-245C has a label gap sensor and an adjustable black line sensor.
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The TTP-245C is a thermal transfer printer which can printer on thermal transfer label media with the aid of a thermal transfer ribbon.
These ribbons are centred and outside wound on 110mm (4.3") wide notched cardboard cores with an outer diameter of 12.7mm (0.5").
The maximum roll diameter is 40mm (1.57") which equates to a ribbon length of 110M (244') for standard ribbons.
The ribbon width can be from 40mm (1.57") to 110mm (4.33").
