STAR CORDLESS SYSTEM
The QuickScan I QM2500 uses Star Radio for communication.
Star Radio is a proprietary narrow band radio system which is immune from interference by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
QUICKSCAN 2500 OPTICS
The QuickScan I QM2500 has special optics which use eyesight friendly soft red illumination and a blue light precision aiming system.
On a successful read a green spot is projected onto the barcode.
MOTIONIX
The QuickScan I QM2500 uses Datalogic Motionix Technology to make life easier.
Motionix automatically detects when the scanner is held in the hand and requires the trigger to be pressed to read a barcode.
When the scanner is placed on a stand it switches to presentation mode and automatically reads barcodes which are shown to scanner.
WIDE RANGE OF 1D/2D BARCODE TYPES
The QuickScan I QM2500 can read most 1D and 2D barcodes including DotCode and Digimarc.

SCANNER KITS
Two Scanner Kits are available:
QUICKSCAN QM2500-BK-433K1
This model is suited to applications where a USB host computer is involved.
It consists of a black QM2500 Star Radio hand-held cordless scanner, a black BC2090-BK-433 Star Radio charge and communication base with a cable interface and a USB-A (Type A) cable which connects to the host computer.
The scanner can be recharged by placing it on the Star Radio base which is connected to the host computer.
Once charged the scanner can read 115,000 barcodes before needing charging.
QUICKSCAN QM2500-BK-433
This kit consists of a black QM2500 Star Radio hand-held cordless scanner and a black BC2090-BK-433 Star Radio charge and communication Base but no cable.
This model needs a KBW, RS232, USB Type A or USB Type C scanner cable.
The choice of cable will depend on the connectivity of the host computer and the desired battery charging speed.
The charge times are:
- Standard USB-A cable 8 hours
- RS232 or USB cables with 12V External Power 4 hours
- USB-C Cable 4 hours
BC2090-BK-433 QM2500 STAR RADIO CHARGE AND COMMUNICATION BASE
This base can communicate with the QM2500 scanner using Star Radio wireless. Each base can only support communication with one scanner.
The base has a cable interface which accepts KBW, RS232 and USB Type A and USB Type C Cables. These cables provide communication with a host computer and transport power to the base.
The base only has an RJ-45 cable socket and does not have a separate power socket.

- 4 hours using an RS232 or USB communication cable with a power socket and an external 12V power supply
- 4 hours using a USB-C communication cable connected to a USB-C host port on the host computer
