PRICES AND OPTIONS
The Motorola Symbol LS2208 is a premium quality hand-held laser barcode scanner aimed at office, retail and light industrial applications.
The scanner comes in a choice of two colours which are called Cash Register White and Twilight Black.
The Symbol LS2208 can read all standard 1D barcodes including the GS1 DataBar.
The scanner has a resolution of 5 mil and can read 13 mil 100% EAN barcodes at up to 43cm.
The Symbol LS2208 cable interface works with IBM 46xx, Keyboard Wedge, RS232, Synapse, Wand Emulation, Undecoded and USB cables.
The scanner is protected from dust and rain to IP41, operates at 0° to 50°C and can withstand 1.5m drops. The scanner is warranted for 5 years.
The Symbol LS2208 offers a vast range of options which include a large number of scanner kits and numerous individual components from which many different scanner configurations can be constructed.
Most requirements can be met by choosing a Scanner Kits.
It is worth mentioning that many of the kits include an intellistand which automatically switches the scanner into presentation mode when it is placed on the stand.

CABLES
Cables are included in the scanner kits.
For other scanner configurations a cable is required to provide communication and to carry power.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge, Wand Emulation and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports generally cannot provide power and RS232 connections will usually need the assistance of an external power supply and a cable with an external power socket.
The range of available cables is huge and they have been divided into USB, Keyboard Wedge, RS232, IBM 46xx and Synapse cables.
