The Intermec SR61Bex is a wireless industrial hand-held 1D, PDF and 2D barcode scanner. It uses the near and far range Ex25 area imager.

The SR61Bex can read all standard 1D barcodes, PDF, postal, and 2D matrix codes.

The scanner has a maximum reading distance of 17.8m but this depends on the size and type of barcode. The minimum reading distance is about 20cm.

The maximum reading distances for 13 mil (100%) EAN13 barcodes and 10 mil Data Matrix codes are 101cm and 74cm. Longer reading distances can be achieved with larger barcodes, such as those found on pallets.

Three communications options are available.

1. The scanner can communicate directly with Bluetooth enabled Intermec devices and other Bluetooth compliant equipment.

2. The scanner can communicate with PCs fitted with Bluetooth adapters and optional keyboard wedge software.

3. Lastly the SD61 wireless base station can be used to forward communication to other equipment.

The scanner derives its power from an onboard battery. The scanner be recharged using a Desktop/Wall Charger, or the battery can be removed and charged separately.

The SR61Bex scanner is rated at IP54, operates at -20° to 50°C, can withstand 2m drops, and has a warranty of 3 years.
