PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Starting at £555.75 the Intermec SR61 is the new industrial strength Bluetooth wireless barcode scanner from Intermec.

The Intermec SR61 barcode reader was designed for use in harsh conditions. It will work at temperatures from -20°C to 50°C, withstand off road vehicle vibration, survive 26 drops from about 2M to concrete or steel surfaces and has IP54 resistance to rain and dust.

The Intermec SR61 wireless barcode scanner has a radio range of up to 30.5m and a battery life of about 10 hours. The recharge time is about 2.5 hours and the battery may be swapped for continuous barcode reading operation.

The Intermec SR61 barcode reader currently offers a choice of three barcode scanning engines to suit the application.

The Intermec EL20 standard range laser barcode scanner reads linear barcodes at up to 1500mm depending on the bar width. The EL20 is particularly good at reading barcodes through shrink wrap.

The Intermec EV20 is a Vista linear imager which reads poor or damaged linear barcodes at distances up to about 300mm depending on the bar width and in addition reads stacked barcodes such as PDF and RSS.

The Intermec EA11 area imager reads linear barcodes, stacked barcodes and 2d matrix codes such as Maxicode and DataMatrix, in any orientation.

A fourth engine is expected in late 2007. The remarkable Intermec EX25 will combine the power of area imaging with both near and extreme long range barcode reading.

For each scanner engine the Intermec SR61 wireless barcode scanner is available as a complete kit with battery and charger, and an optional Bluetooth adaptor.

The kits without the adaptor will work with other Bluetooth enabled equipment such the Intermec 700 series, CK30, CK60, CV30 and CV60.

The optional USB Bluetooth adaptor is available for use with standard PC equipment.

A standard Bluetooth software wedge is available for PC equipment running under Win 95, 98, 2000, XP SP1 with an English QWERTY keyboard.

An advanced Bluetooth PC software wedge is available for XP SP2 and international keyboards.

Accessories for the Intermec SR61 include desktop/wall-mount barcode reader charger; spare batteries; 2, 4 and 8 bay battery chargers; power supplies; holster; USB Bluetooth adaptor; Bluetooth software wedge and advanced Bluetooth software wedge.
