PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONStarting at £780.50, including labelling software, the Intermec EasyCoder PM4i highly configurable industrial 203dpi or 300dpi thermal transfer label printer. Click here for Prices and Options The EasyCoder PM4i prints at speeds up to 8 ips and has a 4 inch print width. TheEasyCoder PM4i uses 450M long ribbons, inside or outside wound and label rolls up to 8 inches in outside diameter. A choice of Intermec IPL or Intermec FingerPrint/Direct Protocol is available. Different models of the EasyCoder PM4i are required to support these two options. Both types of EasyCoder PM4i come with a serial connection and factory fitted options such as label taken sensor, waste rewind and Wireless LAN. Ethernet and IEEE 1284 parallel are available factory fitted or user installable. The IPL version of the EasyCoder PM4i is limited to 203dpi. IPL is an extremely powerful printer language and there is a large established base of IPL users. The IPL version of the EasyCoder PM4i is supplied with labelling software and Windows drivers. The FingerPrint/Direct Protocol version of the EasyCoder PM4i adds USB and a CompactFlash card slot, and offers some further options. These include 203dpi and 300dpi working and special cards for system automation. Windows drivers are included with the FingerPrint/Direct Protocol version of the EasyCoder PM4i and for non-Windows applications the printer can be driven directly using Intermec Direct Protocol. For advanced applications the EasyCoder PM4i can be programmed using Intermec FingerPrint. Two examples of the use of FingerPrint are as follows: Intermec provides ZSim and DSim. These FingerPrint programs run continuously on the printer and accept datastreams intended for Zebra and Datamax printers, giving an Intermec alternative at a very competitive cost. Decision Technology creates bespoke systems which control industrial and manufacturing processes. Where a printing function is required we will nearly always use a FingerPrint printer to provide the computing power in preference to putting a PC on the factory floor. In addition to the optional factory fitted Real Time clock the EasyCoder PM4ican be upgraded with up to two automation boards, factory fitted or user installable. The EasyCoder PM4i is available in a number of pre-configured quick ship models. Alternatively you can design your own EasyCoder PM4i configuration.
