Click here for Prices and Options The Intermec ScanPlus 1802 is small, light and comfortable to use. The Intermec ScanPlus 1802 was designed for retail and light industrial applications and its ergonomics are such that it can safely be put down on work surfaces. The performance of the Intermec ScanPlus 1802 is exceptional. It works in full sunshine and offers laser like performance without any risk to human eyesight. The hand-held barcode scanner can read small barcodes with extremely narrow bar widths. This makes it ideal for reading tiny Code39 barcodes. At the other end of the spectrum the Intermec 1802 can read barcodes which are up to 180mm wide. The barcode read distance depends on the barcode bar width and varies from close up to 330mm. The battery in the hand set is good for 10,000 scans and recharges in under three hours. The Intermec ScanPlus 1802 is available as part of complete kits which include a two bay charger unit, UK power supply and a radio base station equipped with an interface cable. Three kits are available each pre-configured and cabled for USB, PC Wedge or RS232. With these kits you can work at up to 15m (about 50 feet) from the base station. The precise range will depend on your working environment. For more advanced applications there is a choice of more than 20 cables to connect the base station to a wide range of terminals and other computer equipment and you can use up to 5 hand sets with each base station. Hand sets, battery chargers, additional base stations and connection cables are all available separately. The Intermec 1802 hand-held barcode scanner comes with the Intermec EasySet software which is an exceptionally powerful configuration tool. Other models with broadly similar performance are available. The Intermec ScanPlus 1800VT is a corded Vista barcode reader for use where tethered barcode scanners are preferable.
