PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONStarting at £148.25 the Intermec Sabre 1400 is a long range CCD Vista hand-held barcode scanner housed in a tough industrial casing protected by a rubber boot surround. Click here for Prices and Options The Intermec 1400 is targetted at industrial and heavy duty applications. It will cope with wind blown rain and dust, artic to desert temperatures, and off-road vehicle vibrations. The performance of the Intermec 1400 is exceptional. It works in full sunshine and offers laser like performance without posing any risk to eyesight. The barcode reader can read small barcodes with extremely narrow bar widths. This makes it ideal for reading very tiny Code39 barcodes. At the other end of the spectrum the Intermec Sabre 1400 can read barcodes which are up to 180mm wide. The barcode read distance depends on the barcode width and varies from fairly close up to 483mm. The Intermec Sabre 1400 hand held barcode reader comes in two complete kis pre-configured and cabled for PC Keyboard Wedge connection or RS232. For USB and more advanced applications the Sabre 1400 scanner head is available separately with a choice of more than 20 cables for connection to a wide range of terminals and other computer equipment. The Intermec 1400 barcode scanner comes with the Intermec EasySet software which is an exceptionally powerful configuration tool. A useful range of accessories is available. These include a Scanner Pouch, a Holster and Belt, various holders for mounting on vehicles, walls and desks, and a Hands-free Stand. Other Intermec models with broadly similar reading performance are available for retail and light industrial use. The Intermec ScanPlus VT is a Vista technology based barcode reader. The Intermec ScanPlus 1802 is a wireless barcode reader which combines Vista technology with a working range of 15m.
