The Honeywell 3800gPDF is a premium quality hand-held linear imager PDF and 1D barcode scanner. This is a special version of the 3800g which has been optimised for reading PDF barcodes.
The 3800gHD can read PDF barcodes. It can also read all standard 1D barcodes including the GS1 DataBar.
It has a maximum resolution of 3 mil and reading distances of 3.3 to 6.6cm for 6.7 mil PDF417 and 1.5 to 20.8cm for 13 mil 100% EAN barcodes.
The 3800gPDF is ivory in colour and has a 5V cable interface which works with Keyboard Wedge, RS232 and USB cables.
The scanner is rated at IP41, operates at temperatures from 0° to 50°C, can withstand 2m drops, and has a warranty of 5 years.

CABLES
A cable is required to provide communication and to carry power.
The cable must match the scanner cable interface.
Most USB and Keyboard Wedge connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports generally cannot provide power and RS232 connections will usually need the assistance of an external power supply.
