The Honeywell Xenon 1902 Area Imager is a Bluetooth wireless industrial hand-held 1D, PDF and 2D barcode scanner.
The Xenon 1902 can read all standard 1D barcodes, PDF, postal, and 2D matrix codes. The scanner also has some OCR capabilities.
The Xenon 1902 is available in three focal lengths, High Density (HD), Standard Range (SR) and Extended Range (ER). Each of which more than double the maximum reading distances but reduce resolution.
The maximum (ER) reading distances for 13 mil (100%) EAN13 barcodes and 10 mil Data Matrix codes are 29.8cm and 14.2cm respectively.
The maximum (HD) resolutions for 1D and 2D are 3 mil and 5 mil.
The working radio range is up to 10m from the Charge and Communication Base or the stand alone Access Point. Both of these can support up to seven scanners and, if required, both are also available with FIPS encryption.
The scanner derives its power from an onboard battery. The scanner be recharged using the Charge and Communications Base, or the battery can be removed from the scanner and charged separately.
The Xenon 1902 scanner is sealed to IP41, operates at 0° to 50°C, can withstand 1.8m drops to concrete and has a warranty of 3 years.
Some Xenon 1902 models are available as USB Scanner Kits.

USB SCANNER KITS
These USB kits include a scanner, a 3m USB cable and a Charge and Communication Base or an Access Point.
The Charge and Communication Base provides communication and charges the scanner. This unit requires a Power Supply.
The Access Point provides communication and is powered via the USB cable. When using Access Points a Battery Charger will usually be required for the scanner battery.

CABLES
The Charge and Communication Base, and the Access Point require a cable for connection to PCs or other equipment.
Both of these have a 5V cable interface. Special cables are available for 12V working.
The Charge and Communication Base requires a directly connected power supply.
In the case of the Access Point the communication cable provides the required power.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly to the Access Point from the connected equipment. In some cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports cannot provide power and RS232 connections will generally need the assistance of an external power supply.
Where external power is required, a cable with an external power socket must be used together with an external 5V DC power supply.
