The Honeywell 1200g is a low cost high performance hand-held single line laser 1D barcode scanner aimed at the office and retail applications.
The 1200g can read all standard 1D barcodes including the GS1 DataBar. It copes extremely well with poorly printed, smudged or damaged barcodes.
To make life easy for the user the 1200g senses objects automatically and reads barcodes. However, the scanner offers the Codegate facility for choosing the correct barcode from a closely printed list.
The scanner has a maximum resolution of 3.5 mil and has a typical read distance of 25cm for 13 mil 100% EAN barcodes.
The 1200g comes in two colours with a choice of USB, Keyboard Wedge, RS232 and IBM 46xx cables.
The scanner is rated at IP42, operates at 0° to 50°C, can withstand up to fifty 1.5m drops to concrete, and has a 5 year factory warranty.
Some 1200g models are available as Scanner Kits which include stands and cables.

CABLES
Cables are included in the scanner kits.
For other scanner configurations a cable is required to provide communication and to carry power.
The cable must match the scanner cable interface.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge, and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports generally cannot provide power and RS232 connections will usually need the assistance of an external power supply and a cable with an external power socket.
