Working as a hand-held barcode scanner the Heron can read barcodes at a distance of up to 20cm and has the unique feature of confirming a good read by displaying a green dot on the barcode.

Datalogic Heron Barcode Reader and Stand.

The Datalogic Heron automatically changes from a hand-held barcode scanner into a hands free presentation barcode reader by simply dropping it into the supplied barcode scanner stand. The green dot is switched on and is used as a positioning guide for the barcode.

The popular Datalogic Heron D130 barcode scanner is supplied in complete low cost kits for connection via USB or PC Wedge.

For more specialist applications the Datalogic Heron is offered in a series of four models, the Heron D110, the Heron D130, the Heron D140 and the Heron D150. All of these barcode scanners can be used with a choice of cables, and optional power supplies, for connecting to a wide range of tills and other POS equipment.

The latest model, the Datalogic Heron D150, is geared to advanced POS applications. It comes with the ability to read barcodes and at the same time deactivate EAS security tags.

As you would expect for the type of applications covered, sophisticated data editing is built into all of the Datalogic Heron barcode scanners.
