PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONDATALOGIC GRYPHON FAMILYThe renowned family of corded Gryphon Desk linear imagers has largely been discontinued.
With the exception of the special D200E ESD scanner which remains current, the new Gryphon I linear imager replaces all Gryphon Desk models for use with linear barcodes. Where PD417 capabilities are required the new Gryphon 2D Plus area imager should be used. All Gryphon Desk cables and accessories are still available. DATALOGIC GRYPHON DESKOVERVIEWThe Gryphon Desk is a premium quality corded hand-held linear imager barcode scanner aimed at retail and light industrial applications. The scanner comes with a 5 year factory warranty. It is sealed to IP30 and can withstand repeated drops of 1.8m to concrete. The Gryphon Desk has an ESD protection of 15kV and operates at temperatures from 0 to 55° C. The scanner has a maximum resolution of 3 mil for linear barcodes. All Gryphon Desk scanner models can decode: - most standard 1d barcodes including GS1 Databar. Some enhanced models can also decode: - Code16K, Code49, GS1 (Stacked, Extended Stacked and Omnidirectional), PDF417 and UPC A/E Composites. All scanner models can read from near contact to about 28cm (100% EAN13). For some models there are extended range versions which read barcodes of this type up to 43cm. Good reads are signalled by a beep and a dot of green light which is projected on to the barcode. Damaged barcodes can be reconstructed from multiple reads using the Datalogic PuzzleSolver option. The Gryphon Desk scanners can be configured using the Aladdin software which is available free of charge. The scanner is offered in a range of models, these provide a choice of two multi-interfaces and other features such as enhanced decoding and working at extended range. Finally an ESD model is available. Some of the models are also available in a choice of colours. The D130 and D230 use the Standard interface which works with RS232, Wedge, Wand and USB cables. The D110 POS interface works with RS232 and IBM 46xx and IBM USB cables. The D130-LR provides extended working range. The D230 provides enhanced decoding ability which includes PDF417. The D130 is available in Black, Grey or White. The D130-LR is available in Grey or White. The D230 is available in Grey or White. The D200E is the ESD model. A cable is required to connect the Gryphon Desk scanner. Details of the cables are shown below in CABLES CABLESThe models with the Standard interface can use RS232, Keyboard Wedge, Wand and USB cables. In most cases the power is supplied by the connected equipment but an external power supply will usually be required for RS232.
