The Gryphon 2D Plus replaces the standard D432 and D412 scanners.

The D412E high density scanner is still available.

DATALOGIC GRYPHON 2D PLUS

OVERVIEW

The Gryphon 2D Plus is a premium quality corded hand-held area imager barcode scanner aimed at retail and light industrial applications.

The scanner comes in two colours, White and Grey.

The scanner comes with a 5 year factory warranty.

It is sealed to IP30 and can withstand repeated drops of 1.8m to concrete. The 2D Plus has an ESD protection of 16kV and operates at temperatures from 0 to 50° C.

The scanner has a maximum resolution of 4 mil for linear barcodes and 6.6 mil for 2d codes.

The Gryphon 2D Plus can decode the following:

- most standard 1d barcodes including GS1 Databar

- matrix codes including Aztec, Data Matrix, Maxicode and QR Code

- most postal codes including Royal Mail (RM4SCC)

- stacked codes including GS1, MacroPDF, MicroPDF and PDF417

The scanner offers exceptionally snappy performance and can read from contact to about 22cm depending on the type of code, resolution and contrast.

The scanner projects a five dot light pattern which shows both the centre and the edges of the reading area.

Good reads are signalled by a beep and a dot of green light which is projected on to the barcode.

Damaged barcodes can be reconstructed from multiple reads using the Datalogic PuzzleSolver option.

The Gryphon 2D Plus can be configured using the Aladdin software which is available free of charge.

The scanner comes in two models with a choice of two multi-interfaces.

The D432 Plus is a 5 VDC device with the Standard interface which uses RS232, Wedge, Wand and USB cables.

The D412 Plus requires 4 to 14 VDC and has the IBM POS interface which uses RS232, IBM 46xx and USB cables.

Available accessories include a stand and wall holders.

Many requirements can be met by choosing from the COMPLETE KITS shown in the next section.

The D432 models with the Standard interface can use RS232, Wedge, Wand and USB cables.

The D412 models with the POS interface can use RS232, IBM 46xx and USB cables.

The power requirements are 5 VDC for the D432 Standard interface models and 4 - 14 VDC for the D412 models with the IBM POS interface.

In most cases the power is supplied by the connected equipment but an external power supply will usually be required for RS232.
