The corded Gryphon I GD4100-HC is part of the Datalogic Gryphon family of barcode scanners. It is a premium quality hand-held linear imager barcode scanner with a disinfectant ready casing which contains anti-microbial additives.
The Datalogic Gryphon I GD4100-HC is aimed at healthcare applications where cleaning with harsh chemicals is required to help fight against the spreading of germs.
The scanner comes in an attractive green and light grey colour scheme.
It has the standard cable interface which works with USB, Keyboard Wedge, RS232 and Wand Emulation cables.
The GD4100-HC can read all standard 1d barcodes and both the linear and stacked versions of the GS1 DataBar.
The smallest resolution is 3mil and the reading range for 100% 13mil EAN13 barcodes is 3 to 60cm.
The GD4100-HC is rated at IP52, can withstand drops to 1.5M, has a working temperature range of 0° to 50°C and comes with a five year factory warranty.
No kits are currently available but scanner configurations can be easily constucted using the components shown below.

CABLES
The Datalogic Gryphon I GD4100-HC barcode scanner requires a cable for connection to PCs or other equipment.
The cable must match the scanner cable interface.
The GD4130-HC has the Standard interface which caters for USB, Keyboard Wedge, RS232 or Wand Emulation cables.
The communication cable also carries 5V power to the scanner.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge and, Wand Emulation connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports cannot provide power and RS232 connections will generally need the assistance of an 5V external power supply.
Where external power is required, a cable with an external power socket must be used.
